Wendell C. Sinn, Sr passed away peacefully in his own home November 17, 2022, under the care of Kindred Hospice. Wendell has at last joined his beloved wife June who preceded him in death March 2021.

Wendell spent most of his life working for the United States Postal Service. This career was preceded by two years in the Army which is where he met his wife of 60 years. After several years as a clerk and postal carrier, Wendell ended his career as Postmaster of the Deer Park, WA post office.

Wendell graduated from West Valley High School in 1952. He was a High School football referee and umpired baseball and softball. He was at one time the "Umpire in Chief" for the regional American Softball Association.

Wendell spent most of his spare time remodeling the homes he shared with June. They were fortunate enough to spend 15 years "snowbirding" in Arizona where they joined many lifelong friends and made many more. In spring of 2020 they migrated back to Deer Park, WA to be closer to family.

Wendell's favorite Spring to Fall pastime was critiquing the managerial staff of the Seattle Mariners Baseball team. No matter who was managing the team, Wendell felt he should be replaced! Through all the yelling of advice to the TV or radio, he stuck by them and got to watch them into the playoffs (finally) in 2022. When they lost the final game, he immediately called for the manager to be replaced!

Being a man with a giving heart, Wendell delighted in supporting his children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, strangers, stray animals, etc. in whatever way he could, merely because he could. Right up to his final moments, he looked for ways to help others.

Wendell is survived by his brother Max (Karen), sons Fred, Wendell Jr. (Sheri), Neal and daughter Cindy, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Per Wendell's wishes a small family ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery after the first of the year.
