Virginia Marie
Johnson
Mar 9, 1948 — Dec 25, 2022
Virginia Marie Johnson (Kupers) was born March 9, 1948, in Spokane, Washington to Eunice (Kennedy) and Kenneth Kupers. She joined her husband of 55 years, John H. Johnson, who passed January 10, 2022, who awaits her in heaven alongside the Lord on December 25, 2022. She passed away peacefully at 9:56am after a long battle with cancer which began in 2015. She is survived by her two sons, Paul M. Johnson, his wife Cari R. (Clark), their son Levi and his wife Michelle, and their daughter Michaela. Chad H. Johnson and his wife Kristi (Scribner) and their three children, Andrea, and her husband Christopher with the families first great grandson Lake, Jonathan, and Justin. Her sister Charlotte and her daughters Lori, Cheri, Toni, and Tami, and brother Edward and his daughter Tyrell, a half-brother Kenney Goodell preceded her in passing but she leaves his daughter Brittney and her son Wyatt, and a step sister Pamela. After graduating from Marycliff High School she married in 1966 and became a very successful Home Interiors and Gifts consultant making lifelong friendships. She enjoyed her bible studies, working in her yard, camping at Sam Owens on Pend Oreille Lake, and visiting the Oregon Coast, specifically Lincoln City, Cannon Beach, and Depoe Bay. Together with John they moved from Spokane in 1993 to Vancouver, WA. until returning in 2003 to their present home in north Spokane. She loved her family and friends and spoke often of her trip back East to Branson and swimming with the dolphins in Hawaii. We can't thank Hospice of Spokane and their staff enough for their professional support and care during this last year as well as her "Rock", Michaela. A memorial service celebrating Virginia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please contribute in her name to Hospice of Spokane or Shriners Hospital.
