Obituary

Violet "Dollie" Dailey passed away at the age of 96 on January 27, 2022. She was born to Magdalena and Fred Hoff on August 11, 1925. She moved to San Francisco in 1943 to work at the post office during World War II. In 1945 she married Thomas Dailey who passed away in 1976. In her early years, Violet worked at Woods Cannery in Lodi, CA and at the Social Security office in San Francisco for 16 years. She later moved to Deer Park, WA in 1990.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dailey, her daughter Yvonne "Sis" Belshay, seven sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter June Roolf of Clayton, WA, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Violet had dedicated her life to her Christian beliefs. She loved life, the grandeur of nature and people. Her positive attitude, kindness and sense of humor will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her. A memorial service for Violet will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Open Door Congregational church (205 N. Main St., Deer Park, WA).
