It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Marie Collins, a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend, who left this world on February 15, 2025, in Spokane, Washington at the age of 62. Born on March 20, 1962, in Evanston, Illinois.

Susan was the daughter of Thomas Mahon and Sandra Prettenhofer. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas, her husband, Gary, and her beloved son, Kory Russell, whose memory she carried with her each day.

Susan loved her children, Shea Russell (Savannah Reeves) and Emberly Russell-Korth, married to Austin Korth, and she felt nothing but pride in them. She is survived by her mother, Sandra Prettenhofer; her sister, Barbara "Barbie" Johns, and brother-in-law, Jeff Johns; her brother, Paul "Pauley" Mahon, and sister-in-law, Marsha Siekert; her nephews and nieces, Jeffrey Johns and his wife, Rachel Johns, Jennifer Johns and her husband, Lucas Monroe, Breanna Mahon, and Alex Mahon as well as her grandchild, Jaelynn Garcia.

Throughout her life, Susan was known for her bright personality; she was smart, silly, kind and made the best sandwiches. Her life also included many hardships;  the passing of her child, Kory and her second husband, Gary Collins. With such loss comes immense grief. We are grateful she is no longer suffering. May her soul rest peacefully and her memory carry on.
