Obituary

Rena Jeannette Hieb passed away January 27, 2022 in Spokane, Washington. She was born to Leon Pierce Tobler and Rena Myers (Colemen) Tobler on January 23, 1942 in Spokane, WA, the eighth of eleven children.  She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother.  She married the love of her life, Garfield Hieb on May 23, 1957. They moved to Juneau, where Jeannette worked for the State of Alaska, first at the Department of Public Safety Commissioner's Office, then with the Office of Lt Governor McAlpine, and lastly the Permanent Fund Dividend Division.  They stayed in Juneau for fourteen years before returning to Spokane for the last 31 years. Jeannette had many loves, the greatest being her family, her shelties, and reading.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Garfield.  She is survived by her daughter, Kim Hibbert of Deer Park, WA, sons Dale (Cindy) Hieb of Spokane Valley, WA, and Chris (Sarah) Hieb of Juneau, AK, three grandchildren, Brandon (Carlee) Hieb, Kyle Hieb, and Katherine Hieb, and five great grandchildren (Matthew, Molly, Mason, Alex, and Tyton), her sisters, Annette Roberg and Darlene Melton, and many nieces and nephews.
