Quindrey "Drey" Trevon Davis-Murphy was born July 14, 1994, to Erica Davis and Harold Murphy.  He passed just four days after being diagnosed with leukemia on October 14, 2023. Quindrey was the eldest of three siblings. Drey's love of music was with him from the start of his life. He was lovingly raised and cared for from middle school by his grandparents Earon and Willie Lee Davis.

Quindrey attended Saving Grace Ministries of Spokane, where Earon L. Davis Jr. is the Pastor, and Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, where he was the percussionist. He played for numerous other churches in the Spokane and Coeur d' Alene areas. Drey attended Cheney High School in Cheney, WA., where he earned numerous awards, including the Outstanding Percussionist and Outstanding Musician awards.  He won the Guitar Center drum-off contest in 2011, where he went on to the finals in Seattle, WA.  Quindrey was talented, passionate, and humble.  His love for drumming and music continued through his final days.  He further studied Percussion Performance at Eastern Washington University. His career was extensive and varied, ranging from gospel, jazz, soul, rock, and metal to performances as a classical percussionist in symphonic, chamber music, and solo recital settings. Quindrey had several accomplishments during his life, a few: performing at the entrance of Disneyland in Anaheim, CA., playing for national recording artists Snarky Puppy, Allen Stone, Donnie McClurkin, and Bob Curnow.  He recently performed for the Broadway play "Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations."

Drey was a God-fearing, loving, and devoted husband and father. One of his most notable accomplishments was playing for the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, where he had the honor of playing with many former teachers and professors. Quindrey taught middle school and high school band for Northwest Christian School, formerly Bartell Music Academy, and offered private music lessons to students.  He often would spend hours on any day perfecting his craft as a musician. While attending Eastern Washington University, Drey met Allyson. Drey would invite Allyson to his performances, and they fell in love. They welcomed their son Cairo Earon Davis into the world on November 11, 2017, and married on August 8, 2020. Their daughter Rhythm is due to be born In December of 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Allyson Davis; son, Cairo Davis; daughter, Rhythm Davis; mother, Erica Davis; father, Harold Murphy; mother-in-law, Angela Day (Robert Kellogg); father-in-law, Tom Merrifield; sisters, Sharay Hillian (Kyle) of Clauson Germany, Naja Johnson, Harmony Murphy; brothers, Jadan Davis, Harold Murphy Jr. and Jashawn Johnson; brothers-in-law, Davis and Dixon Merrifield; sister-in-Law, Andrea Merrifield, grandparents Earon L. Davis Sr. (Willie Lee), aunt Patricia Hairston (Eugene), uncle Earon L. Davis Jr.; nephew, Dymin whom he treated as his own; niece Noelle, and an extended group of in-laws that blessed the family, a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. God bless everyone and me (Cairo Davis).
