Patricia Rudine August 25, 1946 – October 22, 2024 Patricia Rudine, daughter of the late Edward Rudine and Margie Evans Rudine, was a mother, grandmother, reader, and steady presence in the lives of those she loved. She is survived by her children Sissy Webber, Stephanie Rogers, Samantha Cummins, and her daughter Stacy Cummins, who has also recently passed, along with many grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy. She spent her life loving stories—books were her window to the world. She could travel anywhere from her chair, exploring lives and places far beyond her own. Once she found an author she liked, she would read everything they wrote from A to Z like she was on a personal mission. Patricia worked as a legal secretary before retiring, but her most important work was always her family. She helped raise her grandchildren and even homeschooled some of them, giving her time, patience, and heart without hesitation. She was also a Girl Scout leader and took us camping often—out under the sky, teaching, guiding, and making sure we had those memories to carry with us long after. She loved music, especially classic country and live bands. If there was a song playing, she'd be right there in her seat, tapping straws like drumsticks and moving along with the rhythm. She tried her best to keep everyone in line, though our family could feel like trying to herd cats. Still, she showed up, she cared, and she loved deeply. I'm sharing this now because she deserved more. She deserved to be recognized, remembered, and honored properly. She mattered. She still matters. And she always will.
