Leonore Leveryle Anderson passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022 from complications due to a stroke. She was born to Joseph and Leonora House on September 28, 1928 in Deer Park, Washington and was raised on the family farm on Rose Hill in Stevens County between Springdale and Hunters. It was there she met her future husband, Walter Anderson, who lived just over the hill from her. Mom and Dad married on October 16, 1948 having known each other since they were 5 years old. They were married 57 years.

Children were at the center of Mom's life. Mom doted over us kids and especially her 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mom rarely missed a game or activity that her kids or grand kids participated in, and traveled all over the state to support them. Mom's home was always open to our friends, who Mom treated as if they were her own kids.

During her life in north Pend Oreille County she was a Cub Scout den mother in the early 60's, served on the school board in the Selkirk School District in the early 70's, and was active in the Grange, being a member of the Peaceful Valley Grange in Ione for more than 4 decades. While Mom held several jobs throughout her life: waitress, hospital laundry and nurses aide, nothing meant more to her than being a mom and grandma.

In 2020 she moved to Deer Park to live with her sister, Gale Philpott, and remained there until her death.

She was preceded in death by her older brother, Joseph Montgomery House "Joe Boy", a Marine, who coincidentally died on the same day on Iwo Jima in 1945.

She was also preceded in death by our Dad, Walter Anderson, in January of 2005, a granddaughter, Courtney Field, in 2001, a grandson, Chad Anderson in 2015 and daughter in law Suzette Mary Anderson in 2021.

She is survived by sisters Gale Philpott of Deer Park WA, Louise Simmelink of Montesano WA, a sister in law Norma Anderson of Spokane Valley, WA as well as all four children, Walter Louis of Silverdale WA, Lance Matthew (Roberta) of Deer Park WA, Katrina Jo Gabrielson (Mike) of Federal Way WA and Andrew Montgomery (Claudia) of Metaline Falls WA. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom is an angel that we will all miss, but we are comforted to know that she is resting in peace with Dad.
