Obituary

Buz passed away March 1, 2021 from a long battle with COPD. Buz was born on November 20, 1935 in Chewelah, WA. The family soon moved to Spokane, Morgan Acres. He attended Arlington Elementary and Rogers High School. He became a diesel mechanic and worked at Blackline Asphalt, J.J. Williams Trucking and Cummins Northwest. Buz built hot rods and held a speed record at Deer Park Raceway. He met his bride, Darlene, at Sandy Beach on Liberty Lake. They had three children. Though the years, while raising his family, he raced drag boats and dirt bikes. Buz and Darlene built their dream home in Elk, WA, where they lived for over 40 years. The were married 58 years before Darlene passed away in 2013. In 2014, Buz met his "Sweetie" Joyce Toner. They took wonderful care of each other for 7 years.

Buz is survived by Joyce Toner, his son Jeff (Patty) Storch, son Scott Storch and daughter Amy Benway. He had seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Elk Cemetery in Elk, WA.
