Joyce Fay Wilkinson, formerly of Carlsbad, NM, died Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her home in Nine Mile Falls, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert (Bob) Wilkinson, and by her son Robert L. Wilkinson. Joyce is survived by her children Daniel Jay Wilkinson of Kissimmee, FL, Judy Gwen Pressett of Lubbock, TX, James Richard Wilkinson of Carlsbad, NM, and William Henry Wilkinson of Deer Park, WA, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Joyce was born at home in Amite County, Mississippi. She was the oldest of three children born to Jewell and Adell Cotten Wills. Joyce married Bob Wilkinson in Waco, Texas on Dec 11, 1949. She had a degree as a Physician's Assistant and worked as a Medical Coder. Joyce loved to travel and visited many countries including China, Greece, England, Finland, Thailand, Turkey, and Israel, to name a few. She was an amazing storyteller and loved to tell stories about her various escapades around the world and about her childhood growing up in southern Mississippi. During her lifetime, Joyce lived in Mississippi, Florida, Jordan, New Mexico, and Deer Park, WA. She will be interred at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA, along with her husband.
