The Pylant and Nelson families mourn the loss of Jo Anne Nelson. Jo Anne passed away peacefully at her home in Deer Park, Washington at the age of 65. Jo Anne is lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, John Nelson, two sons, Nicholas Nelson and Camryn Carter, family and friends across both sides of the state, and two loyal Labradors.

Born to Diane and Joe Pylant on July 15th, 1960 in Midland, Texas, Jo Anne was a kind and warm spirit with a love for animals. She worked as a veterinary technician and receptionist from the time she was 18 until shortly before her passing. Jo Anne will be remembered for the care she extended to everyone around her – from her family and friends to the animals she cared for, Jo Anne always extended a hand to someone in need and took care of those she loved.

Jo Anne lost her daughter, Annie Nelson, to cancer in 2011. She loved her daughter the way she loved everyone – with her whole heart.Jo Anne's loving spirit will be missed, but her memory is a blessing to those who had the privilege to know her. Her service will be held on Monday, June 29th, to be led by Pastor Jerry Coleman, who married John & Jo Anne in 1983.
