Dupey
Aug 19, 1934 — Jun 16, 2021
Jeannette Dupey, 86 of Deer Park WA, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2021 in Spokane, WA.
Clara Jeannette was born August 19, 1934 in Deer Park WA to John and Pearl Zimmerer. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1952 and entered Deaconess School of Nursing in Spokane.
She married Cecil Dupey of Milan in 1955, together they had 3 children and lived in Colville, on Orcas Island, in Seattle and the Skagit Valley. She later married Bill Vitt Sr. and established her home and woodland gardens in Bellingham WA. Jeannette loved to create beauty in the garden and enjoyed working with Carnivorous plants, Bonsai and greenhouse propagation. She returned to nursing school, then cared for many patients in her Bellingham hospice home. She cared for special child Schuyler Remsbecher and for her parents until their passing. Jeannette shared her life with special granddaughter Vanessa Hand for many years.
She is predeceased by her parents, husbands, son Steven Edward, dear sister Hazel Simshauser and her beloved Schuyler. Jeannette is survived by daughters Hazel Ann and Lois Jean; 5 granddaughters- Vanessa, Cassandra, Tara, Rachel, Arlyn; 3 grandsons-Caine, Arthur, Nicholas; 2 great-granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also sister Roxanne Camp of Deer Park and SuNan and Marc Walker of Winthrop and Thailand.
She cherished all of you in her special way. Her gift was caring for those in need with skill and devotion. Though she will be missed so much, we rejoice in knowing Jeannette believed this is the next step, awaiting the resurrection.
