March 3, 1936 - February 17, 2025
Janet Kay Gordley, a beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 3, 1936, in Everett, Washington, Kay lived a life full of love, hard work and unwavering determination.
Kay was known for her hardworking nature, her ornery spirit, and her loving yet direct approach to life. She was the manager of Hwy 2 and Deer Park Larry's Quik Stop for many years where she got to know many of Deer Park's residents. Kay had a deep love for her animals and a passion for her farm. She always had her dogs by her side and cherished her Angus cows, horses, goats, chickens, peacocks, ducks, geese, and cats. She was known for her expertise in keeping the stove hot enough and her ability to teach others how to drive a tractor or four-wheeler correctly.
Her family and friends will always remember her for the strength and love she brought into their lives. Kay's legacy will continue to live on through the cherished memories shared by those who knew and loved her.
Kay is survived by her beloved husband, Larry, and their five children: Pam, Jim, rick, Mike and Greg, and by her brothers, Larry and Don Bowen, and her nieces and nephews. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
