Jacquelyn "Jackie" Bratcher (86)-beloved mother, grandmother and friend went to be with Jesus on December 25, 2021. Jackie was born on November 12, 1935 to Archie and Edith Krause in Preston, Idaho.

Jackie graduated from Salmon High School in 1953 and completed nursing school in 1957 from St. Patrick's School of Nursing in Missoula, Montana. She worked as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls and Spokane Veteran's Hospital prior to taking a position at the Inland Northwest Blood Center. Jackie became the Director of the Apheresis Department where she was instrumental in the development of apheresis procedures, which are used to this day. After her retirement, she continued to care for people as a parish nurse for her church congregation.

When Jackie wasn't working to care for people she could be found on the slopes of Mt. Spokane where she served on the Ski Patrol and auxiliary from 1965-2006. She received many awards for her service and dedication to the Ski Patrol. The Bratcher Distinguished Service Award was named after Jackie and her husband Lee in recognition of their service and dedication to the Ski Swap and Ski Patrol. Mt. Spokane is the place where she met Lee, the love of her life. They spent the next 49 years together until he lost his short battle with cancer recently.

Jackie loved spending time with her Lee, enjoying the outdoors and traveling. She loved her family and was always serving and helping others. She had a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jackie is survived by: her brother Brad (Gail) Krause, hers and Lee's children Brad Craig, Richard (Valerie) Bratcher, David Craig, LeeAnn (Bruce) Winters, and Vikki (John) Wright, as well as eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The service celebrating Jackie's life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Open Door Congregational Church in Deer Park. A viewing will be held in the church sanctuary at 10 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am. A live stream of the service will be available on the church's Facebook page. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the fellowship hall after the service. A graveside committal at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park will take place immediately following. In remembrance of Jackie and Lee, Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol is commemorating their dedication with a Torch Light Serpentine Memorial to be held at 7pm on January 15, 2022.
