Heather D.
Griffin (Olmsted)
Jun 21, 1973 — Mar 2, 2025
Heather Dawn Griffin (Olmsted) was born on June 21, 1973 in Spokane, Washington. She passed away on March 2, 2025 surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Heather is survived by her husband Jason Griffin and children Matthew Culnane, Emilee Griffin, Anna Palanio, Coby Griffin and bonus son Grayson. Additionally, she leaves behind her dad Rex Rickard and four sisters Carly Rickard, Lori Rogers, Kim Gaber and Kelli French, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Heather was preceded in death by her mother Dawn Miller and her stepfather Mike Miller.
Heather grew up in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1992. She found a love for bartending while working at her family's bar, Fizzie Mulligans. It was the people that she found fascinating. She continued that work at the Salty Dog in Deer Park, where she was loved by the staff and customers.
Heather had so many interests in life, ranging from her deep love of God to her enjoyment of playing pool to planning parties for others. Heather loved her family, her friends - who became family, and her friends, with some dating back 40 years ("The Girls"). She loved the color purple, the lake and she really loved a good party.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Heather at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Deer Lake, WA at Pinelow Park (3806 N. Deer Lake Rd., Loon Lake, WA). This will be followed at 3:00pm with her "Celebration of Life"… with the things she loved the most: family, friends, the lake and a "good party".
