Gloria Jewel Shortridge died peacefully on February 13, 2024 at the age of 88 at her home in Deer Park, WA.  She was born to John Hubert Sprague and Aletha May Fox in Chinook, MT on November 21, 1935.   Gloria was best known by her nickname, "Judy".  She grew up in Havre, MT.  Many years later, she spent a lot of her life in Bonny Lake, WA, where she married her husband, Barney Shortridge.  For the last 10 years, Judy resided in Deer Park where she was active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Throughout her life, she worked various jobs, but working with people was what she loved to do most, as a Hostess, waitress and childcare provider.  Judy loved people. She had a warm heart and a humorous spirit.  She was one of four sisters who remained close throughout their lives.  Judy's older brother Lawerence died as a young man. Judy's older sister, Francie Schmidtz, passed away in Seattle, WA at the age of 87.  Judy's sister, Donna Dearing, passed away at age 83 in Dear Park, WA. Judy is survived by her four children: Patty Syers (Clayton,WA), Scot Naslund (Deer Park, WA), Steven Landry (Coatesville, PA) and Gregg Landry (Australia). She is also survived by sister Mary Denny, (Deer Park, WA), step-daughter-Marcia Shortridge (Tacoma, WA) and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
