Georgia Ruth Snyder, age 86, passed away April 15, 2021 of Dementia-Alzheimers. A longtime resident of Deer Park, Washington. Georgia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.

It was her loving family that surrounded her with their love at her home during her illness and passing. Mom was so blessed to be able to stay home during her illness as her daughter Ronda was able to insure she had the best of care.

Georgia was born in Polson, Montana on April 26, 1934 to George and Nora [Adams] Kelly. She was the youngest of nine children. Georgia graduated from Polson High School in1952 where she was a member of the Pirates Marching Band. Her mom would say she was the "Best Drum Major" ever. She also played the "Big Bass Drum" and would travel to Spokane through the years to march in the Lilac Parades.

In the 7 ^th grade she met Ron Snyder at the Ronan Fairgrounds, this would be the beginning of their love story.

Decorated with Lilacs and Snowballs, Ron and Georgia were married June 1, 1952 in the Christian Church in Ronan, Montana.

They were blessed with five children: Valarie, Scott, Ronda, Jolene and Skipp. They raised their family in Western Montana: Libby, Valley View, Polson and Ronan.

Georgia was a Leader for the local 4-H Club of which her children were members. She taught sewing, cooking, horsemanship and dairy. She also coached the Horse Drill team which rode in parades and performed at local rodeos. She also worked hard as the secretary for the Polson Boxing Club as Ron was the coach for the club. She was always involved wherever there were young people who needed a guiding hand.

In 1970 the family moved to Deer Park, Washington where Georgia was a homemaker and with Ron supported their children in all school activities. Many game nights you would find football or basketball teams gathered around the Snyder's kitchen table welcomed by a pot of soup or spaghetti, always served with homemade bread and laughter.

Later Georgia would work at the Riverside School District as a classroom aide and then at the Middle School Library where her artwork and caring touched many young lives. She enjoyed every day at the school.

After retiring from the school Georgia began to accompany Ron on many of his work trips for Western Wood Products Association. During those years with the company they formed many cherished friendships and so enjoyed "The Crazy Eights".

Christmas was a favorite of Georgia's. She spent many hours cross-stitching, sewing or helping Ron with many of their wood creations. The most memorable were the "Rocking Horse's" given to every grandchild. During Christmas her house was decorated with her Santa collection and beautiful Christmas villages. Christmas Eve was celebrated by LARGE family gatherings and a candle lit driveway and a visit from Santa.

Everyone was welcome at Ron and Georgia's home with many talks in the kitchen over a cup of coffee. Family dinners were a favorite, and the boys were taught early on not to wear a hat to the dinner table. Puzzles and Games were a family tradition.

Georgia also loved her birds and birdhouses.

Her spirited and loving smile will be forever cherished.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Glenna, Glenn, Clell, Wilma, John, Lovie, Leo and Leah; her son Scott; son-in-law Dick; and daughter-in-law Ruthie: her in-laws Wayne and Melva Snyder; brothers-in-law, Eldon, Norman and Leonard; sisters-in-law, Faye, Mardell, Mardene and Rosie.

She is survived by her husband Ron of 68 yrs, daughters, Val Culp, Ronda [Lonnie] Widmer, Jolene [Al] Kolb and Son Skipp Snyder and forever daughter-in-law Melanie Vaagen.

She had 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers-in-law; Vernon, Duane, Robert, and Merlyn; and sisters-in-law; Karene and Sharon.

As we remember Georgia we will always think of the love shared by Ron and Georgia; the laughter, love of dancing and the "hand" that always found the "other", side by side, each step together on the path the lord blessed them with.

A Celebration of Life to remember Georgia Ruth Snyder will be held at a later date in July.
