FRED R. MILLER,  passed away at home on Jan 14, 2026.  Fred was born in Spokane WA, on April 4,1944.   He grew up in Spokane attending Central Valley High School until his senior year, graduating from Deer Park High School in 1962.  Fred enlisted in the Navy out of high school, spending time in San Diego and Annapolis. He later graduated from WSU with distinction.

Fred retired from his job at WSU and lived some of his retirement years on his sailboat in Blaine, WA.  The last years of his life were spent living in the family's home on Deer Lake.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Helen Miller and brother-in-law Mike Wickline . He is survived by his two sisters, Cheryl (Wickline) Miller and Michelle Miller and many nieces and nephews.

Fred enjoyed biking, hiking, sailing, playing bridge, playing his many guitars and was an avid reader. He loved spending time with all his nieces and nephews and was a great support to them during their college years.

There will be a graveside service in the spring at Mountain View Cemetery in Farmington, WA, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents and grandparents.
