Don A
Porter
Aug 17, 1930 — Jun 11, 2026
In loving memory of our father, Don Asay Porter, who passed away on June 11th, 2026, at the age of 95. He was the devoted husband of Bessie and loving father of Paige, Craig, Paul, Matt, Gail, and Russell. Don was full of love for his 30 grandchildren and even more great grandchildren. He and his wise council will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Our father was a hardworking man, raised on a ranch in Wyoming near Greybull. He did all he could to support, teach and love his family. He was a morally strong man who faced every challenge in his life with courage and dignity. Our father was a source of inspiration to us all and he will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Growing up, Don was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just someone to teach us how to hunt, fish, camp or play ball. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War, he completed a BS in Geology at the University of Wyoming. By his example he instilled his strong desire to learn of things both physical and spiritual. He was a man of faith and he instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. One of his lifetime goals was to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was able to serve 3 missions with his beloved companion, Bessie. Our father was a man of honor who we will always look up to.
The funeral service will be held at 401 West Regina Avenue, Spokane, WA 99218 on July 11th 2026 at 11:00 am.
Father, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
