Obituary

Diane Lenore Henry was born December 25 1948, in Berkley, California. She went into the loving arms of her resurrected Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on October 11, 2026. Raised in Stockton, California. Diane was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Lenore Hood, father, Marvin Ross Hood, her infant son Travis Henry and brother-in-law Randy Henry. She was the beloved wife of Michael Henry for 56 years. Diane was the loving mother to Lori Stairs (Jonathan), Kori Trierweiler (Craig), Darci Marshall (Craig) and Danae Moses (Jonnathan). She was a loving grandmother to Annika Goddard (Nathan), Jessie McElrea (Andrew), Ella Trierweiler, Josiah Stairs (Shania), Darci Trierweiler, Noah Stairs, Kyle Trierweiler, Piper Marshall, Luke Stairs, Adele Marshall, Claire Marshall and Travis Moses. Diane was also the great-grandmother to Judah Goddard, Peyton McElrea, Josephine Goddard, Ivy McElrea, Daniel Goddard. Diane was a cherished sister to Ron Hood and sister-in-law to Carol Henry and Mark Henry (Jill).

Diane devoted her life to Christ as a teenager and after graduating from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, she taught in a Christian school in Miami, Florida along with her husband until their daughter Lori was born. She and Mike then moved back to his hometown in Iowa where they farmed and God added Kori and Darci to their family. In 1982, sensing a call from God, Mike became the pastor of First Baptist Church, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, where he served for 10 years with Diane by his side. Diane led Bible Studies as a pastor’s wife and continued with teaching women the Bible after Mike transitioned from being a pastor to starting and managing two Christian radio stations. Their daughter Danae was born during these years.

Besides Christ, Diane loved serving her family. She was a prayer warrior who listened to God and others with empathy. Her biggest investment was her daughters and teaching them how to follow Christ. Diane exhibited the qualities of a godly wife listed in Proverbs 31. She finished her race of faith well and will be deeply missed.

The outdoor funeral will take place on Friday, October 16 at 1 PM PST at Woodland Cemetery Pavilion (5315 Monroe Rd., Deer Park, WA 99006)
