David V.
Meloche
Sep 22, 1939 — Nov 29, 2025
David Vincent Meloche, 86, passed away at home November 29, 2025. Born September 22, 1939, he was the second child of four born to Leonard and Margaret Meloche of Spokane. Dave was larger than life and impressed all who got to spend time with him. After graduating from Gonzaga Prep he enlisted in the Navy. In 1962 he met and married the love of his life, Elaine Eslick, and they welcomed three children. He loved fishing and camping. He discovered his niche as a Cub Scout leader and shared his love of the outdoors with hundreds of kids over the years. Dave made his living as an electrician in the construction industry and enjoyed traveling the country to various job sites. Once the kids left home, Elaine joined him in the motorhome and they spent many fun years exploring. Around 2005 health challenges limited their traveling but they still chased around their grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved history, particularly anything to do with WWII. Dave is preceded in death by his beloved son, Brian, and all his siblings: Lee Michael Meloche, Peggy Jane Bronowski, and James Paul Meloche. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine, and daughter Susan (Paul) Pace, daughter Barb (Kevin) Mooney, grandkids Jessica Cobb, Anthony Pace, and Samantha Jo Pace, and seven great-grandkids. Dave was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Monday December 8 at 1:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Daisy, WA. Reception to follow at the American Legion in Kettle Falls. Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park in charge of arrangements.
