Obituary

Bill Sims came into the world in a log cabin on Eloika Lake on Jan. 25, 1933.  He was the last of nine children born to Charles Arbie Sims and Grace (Burrill).  During his time on earth he retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 30 years as a potman and maintenance technician.  Then, after needing something constructive to do with his life, he took on the task of being a school bus driver for the Deer Park School District.  He was an avid outdoorsman his whole life, mostly hunting, fishing and camping with dear friends and family.  After suffering with dementia his last few years here on earth, he left us to be with the Lord on November 2, 2024 at the age of 91.  He leaves behind his wife, Beverly, of 74 ½ years, daughter Linda Dyck, and 3 sons Ron (wife Doreen), Larry (wife Cherie), and Dan (wife Joyce) along with 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.   We find comfort in knowing that he rests in everlasting peace in the presence of the Lord.
