Betty Mae Strong was born in Spearfish, South Dakota on May 19,1928 to Ewing and Irene Sampson. She passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2022 in Deer Park, Washington and is survived by her children and their spouses Dwayne Strong and wife Jan, Marilyn Taylor and husband Vaughn, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband of 60 years Milton L. Strong. They were married in July of 1950. Three sisters including her twin Sally Fox who preceded her in December of 2021, 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Betty moved to Spokane Valley at a young age and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1946.
Betty was a long time resident of Deer Park and retired from Rainer Bank in Deer Park after many years. She was very involved in the community and through the years she was always there for her children and grandchildren's activities. She was a longtime member and very active in the Open Door Church. Her family meant the world to her and she always wanted everyone to come home for the holidays. Many summers were spent at their lake cabin on Sacheen Lake where a lot of fond family memories were made.
