Alexander Anthony
Martinez
Mar 18, 1971 — Oct 16, 2024
Alexander Anthony Martinez of Deer Park passed away unexpectedly at home on October 16th, 2024. He was 53 years young. Born in Los Angeles, Alex grew up surfing many of Southern California's beaches before moving north to Spokane in his early 20's. His passion for cooking translated over into his careers, working in food service, bartending, and meat cutting for Yoke's and Rosauers grocery stores. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed exploring Eastern Washington's forests, rivers and lakes by foot, kayak, or camper. Alex loved supporting his kids and his community over the years at school sporting events, and enjoyed rooting for his beloved LA Rams and Seahawks.
Alex is survived by his wife and best friend of 10 years, Alicia Duckworth; his daughter, Jazelle (Phoenix) Collier; his four sons, Jaden Martinez, Jack Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Jackson Huston; his three grandchildren, Maverick Collier, Memphis Collier, and Jaden Alésana Martinez; his father, Alexander (Eloise) Martinez; and his siblings, Randall (Brooke) Parra, Donna (Genaro) Martinez, and Stephanie (Paul Ingco) Martinez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Simpson. Alex will be fondly remembered by extended family, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends across California and Washington as well.
